Total Entertainment501 West International Speedway BlvdDaytona Beach FL 32114Pre Owned Epiphone T-Bird Pro 4 String Electric Bass, NaturalNo case or bagWeight 9lbs 5.9ozThe Epiphone Thunderbird PRO is a distinctive, rock-oriented electric bass that takes the classic Thunderbird design and adds a more modern, versatile electronics package. What makes it specialNeck-through construction: The 7-piece maple/walnut neck runs through the body, with mahogany body wings. This construction is designed to provide good sustain and a solid, resonant feel. GGuitar Center+134" scale: It's a conventional long-scale bass, so it has the familiar feel of a Precision/Jazz-style 34" instrument. GGuitar CenterSlimTaper neck: The PRO has a relatively comfortable, fast-feeling neck compared with some traditional Thunderbird designs. The 4-string has a 1.50" nut width and a 12" fingerboard radius. GGuitar CenterTwo T-PRO humbuckers: These are active humbucking pickups. Interestingly, the pickup placement is somewhat farther toward the middle/bridge than you'd expect from a traditional bass, contributing to its punchier character. SSweetwaterActive 2-band EQ: Controls are Master Volume, Blend, High EQ and Low EQ, giving you considerably more tonal control than the simpler passive Thunderbird designs. GGuitar Center+1Fully adjustable bridge: The PRO uses a flush-mount adjustable bridge and premium die-cast tuners. GGuitar CenterHow it soundsThe Thunderbird PRO tends toward a thick, aggressive, punchy sound, rather than the softer or more vintage character of a typical passive P Bass. The active electronics let you emphasize either the lows or highs, so it can move from relatively deep and rounded sounds to a sharper, growling rock tone. It's particularly well suited to rock, hard rock, metal, punk and alternative music, although the active EQ and pickup blend give it enough range for other styles.
