About this listing
Beautiful Casio CT-403 in pristine condition. The CT-403 is a particularly interesting vintage Casio, essentially the wood-cased counterpart to the Casio MT-60, with the same distinctive sound chip. This means it has that unmistakable vintage Casio character — including the famous “Frog Bass” sound associated with the MT-60 and heard on Michael Jackson’s Thriller.Important distinction: the MT-60 is the model associated with the Thriller recording; the CT-403 itself was not used by Michael Jackson. However, the CT-403's matching sound circuitry makes it an especially interesting alternative for anyone looking for that particular vintage Casio sound. What really sets this CT-403 apart is the beautiful wooden cabinet, giving it a unique look compared with the more common plastic-cased Casio keyboards of the period. The keyboard is in pristine, exceptionally clean condition and would make a fantastic addition to a vintage keyboard collection, recording studio, or for anyone chasing authentic 1980s Casio sounds.
