Telefunken M280 N 1968 - Matte nicke
Telefunken M280 N, a highly regarded vintage microphone known for its detailed, natural sound and classic German engineering.
The M280 N is essentially a Neumann KM84 in all but name, sharing the same capsule and core electronics design. The main differences are cosmetic and practical (Tuchel connector, no pad switch), but sonically it delivers the same smooth, natural, and detailed character that made the KM84 a studio classic.
This unit is in very good working condition and performs exactly as it should. It’s been well maintained and is ready for studio use.
It comes with a Tuchel to XLR adaptor and the original leather case. The exterior is intact and presents well. The original internal lining had deteriorated over time (common with these), so it has been replaced with protective foam to better secure the mic during storage and transport.
