About this listing
The Summit Audio TD-100 is a hand-built, hybrid tube instrument preamp and direct box, made in the USA. A 12AX7A/ECC83 vacuum tube input stage gives warmth and harmonic richness, while a discrete transistor output stage keeps the sound clear and punchy with plenty of headroom. Its signature feature is the variable LOADING control, which sweeps the input impedance from 10kΩ up to 2MΩ, letting you match — or deliberately mismatch — any pickup. Up to +24dB of stepped gain makes it easy to recall settings, and it shines on bass, electric and acoustic guitar (including piezo pickups), and keyboards, both in the studio and on stage. This is a completely unmodified, all-original example in excellent cosmetic condition, cleaned and fully function-tested by the seller, a professional electronic musical instrument technician.Working ConditionFully tested and confirmed working at 100V (Japanese domestic unit, rated 100V 50Hz).It has not been tested at 115V/120V here. For use in North America or other 115V–240V regions, a step-down transformer to 100V is recommended. All functions and connections verified with real instruments: input, XLR output, 1/4" output, headphone output, LOADING, OUTPUT GAIN, POLARITY, and GROUND LIFT.All pots and switches operate smoothly — no scratchiness, no crackle, no noise, no intermittent contacts.Original 12AX7A tube as supplied by Summit Audio.Serial number: 921535Additional ServicingAll pot and switch contacts cleaned. No circuit modifications of any kind.Cosmetic ConditionExcellent condition — no scratches, no dirt, and no visible signs of wear.No unusual odors.Photos are of the actual unit you will receive.IncludedAC power cable (US-style plug)Owner's manualOriginal boxShippingShips from Japan via EMS (Japan Post) — tracked, insured, and carefully boxed.Import duties and taxes:—— US buyers : duties are prepaid by us (DDP) and already included in the shipping cost.
