Schecter Omen Elite-8 Multiscale Guitar in Black Cherry Burst
The Omen Elite-8 Multiscale delivers a comfortable, fast playing experience across its eight strings, with a slim Thin 'C' maple neck and carefully graduated fret thickness that minimizes hand fatigue during extended sessions. This multiscale design balances the open, resonant character of longer scales on the lower strings with the responsive snap of shorter scales on the higher strings, housed in a visually striking Black Cherry Burst finish over mahogany and burl. The instrument rewards both technical execution and compositional range, making it ideal for players exploring modern extended-range voicings.
Playability & Feel
The neck profile measures .787" at the first fret and .866" at the twelfth fret, providing a comfortable grip that suits both extended reach and precision work. 24 jumbo frets with a 20" fretboard radius and pearloid line inlays cover a rosewood fretboard, enabling smooth, articulate playing across the entire range. The multiscale design ranges from 25.5" to 27.5", balancing tonal character and playability across all eight strings.
Tone & Electronics
Schecter Diamond Heretic pickups in both bridge and neck positions deliver the aggressive, focused tone characteristic of modern extended-range instruments, controlled via master volume and tone controls with a 5-way pickup lever. The Hipshot 8-String Multiscale Fixed Bridge ensures tight intonation and stable tuning across all eight strings, while the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut preserves clarity and sustain at the headstock end.
