Finished in its original Natural Maple, this guitar features the highly sought-after maple fingerboard, 6-position rotary selector, and Tune-o-Matic bridge with stop tailpiece, making it a standout example from the beginning of L6-S production. The original L6-S (later referred to as the L6-S Custom) debuted in 1973 and introduced Gibson's first production solidbody with 24 frets, along with an incredibly versatile electronics package designed to deliver a wide range of tones.The all-maple construction gives this guitar exceptional clarity, sustain, and attack, while the original Bill Lawrence-designed Super Humbuckers produce everything from warm jazz tones to cutting rock sounds.
