About this listing
I am offering an Epiphone Joe Bonamassa Treasure Firebird-I from 2016, a limited-edition Joe Bonamassa signature Firebird model with a solid mahogany body, 9-piece mahogany/walnut neck in neck-through construction with 1960s rounded “C” neck profile and 42.8 mm TUSQ nut, premium rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets, a hot Seymour Duncan SM-1 mini humbucker (upgrade), hand-wired electronics with Orange drop capacitors and CTS pots (upgrade), high-quality Epiphone Lightning Bar bridge and Kluson Reissue Firebird/Banjo tuners in a radiant Polymist gold high-gloss finish with white pickguard and radiant nickel hardware in a mint collector's condition including the original Epiphone gig bag, certificate (C.o.A.) and professional setup with 10-gauge Ernie Ball strings.Joe Bonamassa is one of the most famous living blues guitarists, and his virtuosity, passionate playing style and love for the blues make him one of the best of all time. He has been making music history for over 30 years, has received numerous Grammy nominations for his work and is known for his meticulous selection of instruments in his Nerdville collection. To honor this unique musician, Epiphone released a limited-edition Firebird signature model in 2016 that combines all the specs Joe Bonamassa had in mind. The result is an absolute premium high-end model and one of the best that Epiphone has to offer: this guitar is on par with a Gibson in terms of workmanship, sound and look, and trumps with the crème de la crème of hardware and features. The construction of this Epiphone Joe Bonamassa Treasure Firebird-I follows the example of the 1963 classic: a solid mahogany body offers a very comfortable weight (3.3kg) and promises comfortable handling even during long sessions. The tone is superbly transmitted via the 9-piece mahogany/walnut neck in neck-thru construction, with an incredibly long lasting sustain and, thanks to the rather slim 1960s rounded “C” neck profile, almost every playing technique comes out of the hand with ease. The guitar literally already "sings" gorgeously acoustically, and when plugged into an amp, you need a moment to take in the sheer volume of Firebird sounds. An upgraded Seymour Duncan SM-1 mini humbucker at the bridge, together with the hand-wired electronics with Orange drop capacitors and CTS pots, provides the right tones for almost any musical genre between blues and rock: Powerful double-wound sounds in the best PAF tradition, which enable a lively response with a brilliant treble spectrum. Thanks to its nuanced dynamic response, the mini humbucker also reacts perfectly to the playing style, so that every riff and lick is expressively staged.A sound example of the model (only without upgrades) with the master himself can be found at the top of the photo gallery. The custom look with the Polymist Gold high-gloss finish, the elegant nickel hardware and the different knob pairs give the guitar its unmistakable look.Technical Specifications:Year of manufacture: 2016Series: Limited EditionBody: Mahogany, solidNeck: 9-striped mahogany/walnut neck, neck-thruNeck profile: 1960s Rounded “C”Fingerboard: Rosewood with Pearl Dot inlaysFingerboard radius: 14"Frets: 22 Medium JumboSaddle: 42.9mm, TUSQHeadstock: Matching HeadstockPickups: 1x Seymour Duncan SM-1 mini humbucker (upgrade); original Epiphone ProBucker 720 includedElectronics: 1x volume & 1x tone control; electronics rewired with CTS pots and OrangeDrop capacitors (upgrade)Bridge: Epiphone Lightning BarMachine heads: Kluson Reissue Firebird/Banjo tunersHardware: nickelPickguard: White with red Firebird logo, 3-plyFinish: Polymist Gold, high glossScale length: 628mmWeight: 3.3kgSerial no.: 1611200531Incl.
