Since its 2022 launch, MiniFreak has become one of Arturia's strongest-performing synthesizers, establishingthe Freak line as a reference for hybrid digital-analog sound design. MiniFreak 49 extends that line into alarger format built around hands-on control. It carries the MiniFreak recipe for success — two engines, six voices, 30+ oscillator modes, analog filters —along with an updated preset library and MiniFreak V. It adds 49 full-size semi-weighted keys with monoaftertouch, FM modulation of the analog filter cutoff, Voice Panning, and an XYZ touch matrix that handlesmodulation assignment, preset browsing, real-time sound control and live visual feedback on a singlemultitouch surface.Endless Sound PaletteTwo digital engines, six voices, 30+ oscillator modes from Virtual Analog to granular. Engine 2 can process Engine 1. Three shortcut buttons jump straight to synth, wavetable or sample engines. Polyphonic analog filter per voice — now with audio-rate FM of the cutoff from either engine. Processing external audio is also possible.Touch Your SoundOne multitouch surface, four modes. Visualizer: four reactive animations, chosen by preset. Modulation Matrix: direct, colour-coded assignment. Preset Browsing: full pages of presets, swipe to navigate. Freak Control: Macros, Gate and Spice, plus bipolar and vector layouts pre-mapped across the whole synth.Movement In StereoTwo LFOs with shape editing and randomisation, a polyphonic cycling envelope at audio rate, and direct assignment across engines, filters, effects and other modulators. Three effect slots, 13 algorithms each. Voice Panning spreads the six voices across the stereo field with selectable spread algorithms.Playability And Platform49 full-size semi-weighted keys with velocity and mono aftertouch, on the Arturia-designed keybed from K eyLab mk3. Aluminium pitch and mod wheels. Larger OLE D display. MiniFreak V included for full DAW integration — MiniFreak presets load on MiniFreak.Sound EnginesTwo digital engines , six voices , 30+ oscillator modes from Virtual Analog and FM to granular and sample . Engine 2 can process Engine 1. Audio In routes external signal through the voice architecture .Analog FilterPolyphonic analog state-variable filter (LP/HP/BP) per voice. Resonant to self-oscillation . Audio rate FM modulation of the cutoff .ModulationTwo LFO's with selectable waveforms , free or synced , custom shape editor , and direct on-matrix drawing . Polyphonic cycling envelope with Run and Loop modes , operating at audio rate . N E W Matrix allows for intuitive assignment across engines , filters , effects and other modulators — no scrolling , no submenus .Effects And StereoThree effect slots , 1 3 algorithms each . N e w Voice Panning places each voice individually in the stereo field . Stereo outputs .Sequencer and ArpeggiatorSequencer with four modulation tracks. Arpeggiator with octave jumps, ratchets and repeats . Spice & Dice for on-the-fly variation and randomization of any pattern.XYZ Touch MatrixVisualizer : live visual response to your playing.Modulation Matrix : direct, color-coded assignment.Preset Browsing : full pages of presets, swipe to navigate.Freak Control : for expanded sonic manipulation.Freak ControlShape your sound by touch . Macros , G ate and Spice , plus pre-mapped multitouch fields across engines , filters , effects and modulation . Latch any sweet spot you find.Keybed Controls49 full-size semi-weighted keys with velocity and mono aftertouch . Arturia-designed key bed, shared with KeyLab mk3 49 /6 1 Aluminum pitch and mod wheels . Shift layer for secondary functions across the panel.Software And ConnectivityMiniFreak V companion software included — full DAW integration, preset management, and control of the plugin from the hardware.
