Considered by many to be the most recognizable electric guitar of all time, Eddie Van Halen's iconic and revered Frankenstein™ is now available at a price accessible to all players: the EVH® Striped Series Frankenstein™ "Frankie."
Featuring the famous red paint job with black and white stripes and a purposefully aged look, the all-new Frankie features a Stratocaster®-style basswood body paired with a graphite-reinforced quartersawn maple neck. An oil finish on the back of the neck ensures hours of playing comfort, while the 12" to 16" compound-radius maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets is designed for fast, aggressive playing styles.
Set up for an HSS pickup configuration just like Eddie's original, the Frankie features an EVH Wolfgang® humbucker in the bridge position, a dummy Strat® pickup in the neck position, and a dummy five-way switching switch in the middle position.
A sturdy and reliable EVH-branded Floyd Rose® locking tremolo bridge and Floyd Rose locking nut work in tandem for precise tuning even with extreme pitch changes, while EVH D-Tuna® allows you to precisely tune the guitar from Drop-D and back with just a touch.
Other exclusive features include a single Stratocaster-style volume knob with a white cover (labeled "tone"), a custom black pickguard, aged chrome hardware, standard strap buttons, and an EVH neck plate.
