Guild guitars, beloved by countless folk singers such as Paul Simon, John Denver, and Nick Drake, are still known for their strong support from core fans and are a guitar brand secretly popular among connoisseurs. This particular instrument is a used "D-40," a top-of-the-line mahogany-side and back model inherited from the golden age of OLD Guild. It features a Sitka spruce top, mahogany sides and back, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, satin varnish finish, and scalloped bracing on the top. It gives the impression of a next-generation Guild guitar, inheriting the essence of the hardcore old Guild while incorporating modern elements, creating a hybrid image. It has a fat and warm tone with a lot of air in the bass output. This guitar is especially well-suited for genres such as singer-songwriters. This guitar features a retrofitted SKYSONIC pickup, making it suitable for stage use. Due to its thin satin finish, there is a slight sheen around the neck and body curves. While there are some minor scratches, the overall condition is excellent. This USA Guild guitar stands apart from the current Asian-made lineup. Original hardshell case included.
