Greco EGC-600 Les Paul Custom – Black – Made in Japan (1978)

I’ve been listing and removing this one several times as it just so good. Bur ready to split ways with it.

A superb example of late-'70s Japanese craftsmanship. Greco has long been regarded as one of Japan's premier guitar makers, producing some of the finest vintage Les Paul-style instruments of the era. Built in Japan during the golden age of Japanese guitar manufacturing, this 1978 EGC-600 delivers the quality, attention to detail, and playability that made these instruments so highly respected among collectors and players alike.

This guitar is in very good overall condition for its age. It is structurally sound with no breaks or cracks, showing only the expected cosmetic wear and light scratches from decades of use. Frets remain in good playing condition, approximately 70% remaining. Please refer to the photos for a detailed view of its condition.

The original Maxon U-1000 humbuckers are still installed. These pickups are known for their clarity, punch, and rich vintage character. The 1978 examples, identifiable by the "1" stamp, are particularly sought after and offer exceptional articulation, output, and dynamic response.

The dense mahogany construction provides excellent sustain and resonance, making this a truly inspiring instrument to play. Many enthusiasts consider 1978 to be one of the standout years for Greco production.
