Dream Cymbals Contact 16" Crash – very good, B23 bronze, handmade, 1100g
The Dream Contact series is built for players who need a crash that projects and cuts in louder settings without losing the handmade character that makes Dream cymbals interesting. Where Dream's Bliss and Energy lines lean darker and more atmospheric, the Contact is voiced brighter and more forward — wider lathing, deeper hammering, a larger bell, and a more convex bow shape that speaks faster and louder than the other Dream lines. The result is a crash with a full, rich attack, a shimmering wash that drives the sound forward, and a rapid decay that clears quickly without leaving a lingering wash behind. At 1100 grams the 16" Contact sits in medium-thin territory — light enough to respond easily at lower dynamics, substantial enough to hold up in rock and pop contexts without bottoming out.
Each Contact cymbal is hand-forged and hand-hammered by individual smiths in the traditional Chinese method, cast from B23 alloy — 77% copper, 23% tin, with traces of silver — a higher tin content than the standard B20 bronze used by most manufacturers, which contributes to the brightness and complexity of the sound. No two are exactly alike.
This one is in very good condition — clean, fully functional, no keyhole, chips, dents, or cracks. Please refer to the photos for a close look at the cymbal's condition.
