Gibson Sonex 180 Standard – A Rare Piece of Early 80s Gibson History

Here's a genuine rarity: the Gibson Sonex 180 Standard, produced only between 1980 and 1981. This is the higher-spec version of the Sonex line, sitting above the more commonly seen Deluxe model and featuring the sought-after original Dirty Fingers humbuckers — Gibson's high-output pickups known for their aggressive, harmonically rich tone.

And it delivers. This guitar sounds unmistakably Gibson — thick, warm, and full of character. It's comfortable to play, holds tune reliably, and everything functions exactly as it should.
