The Ibanez ST-9 Super Tube Screamer was a rare, one-year-only pedal from 1984, featuring the same circuitry as the TS-9 but with an added Mid Boost control for greater tonal shaping. This fourth knob, along with the addition of a second JRC4558D IC chip, gave the pedal more sustain and drive compared to the standard TS-9. The ST-9 is considered a rare and valuable pedal due to its limited production and exclusive European release.
