S. Yairi is a Japanese guitar brand founded by Sadao Yairi, known for its high-quality handmade acoustic and classical guitars. While the guitars were produced in Japan in the 1960s and 1980s, they are now manufactured under license in China, maintaining traditional quality. Vintage S. Yairi models are highly prized, and modern versions offer excellent value for money (though production is no longer handmade and is now located in China). ✔️

Origin:

The brand was founded by Sadao Yairi in Japan and is known for its handmade guitars. His son, Hiroshi Yairi, also worked under his leadership. ✔️

Characteristics:

S. Yairi guitars are distinguished by their rich tone and traditional craftsmanship, strict quality control, and completely handmade construction. Production: Sadao Yairi produced guitars under three names: S. Yairi, Sadao, and Sada, which you see in the photo. ✔️

Value:

Vintage guitars from the 1960s–1980s are highly sought after by collectors and musicians , especially classical guitars in good+ condition ✔️

Craftsmanship: The guitars are known for their high-quality construction and attention to detail. Many models from the 1960s and 1970s were made with all-solid woods ( Japanese ply high graded wood ), including spruce tops and rosewood backs and sides and Model A120 have same specs. ✔️
