Small pedalboard friendly sized buffer. Slightly improved V2. Fits under your pedaltrain.

Do you need a buffer?

Well, it’s up to you. If you’re running long cables or if you have many true bypass pedals in your signal chain it’s likely you will suffer some toneloss, particularly some sparkling high end. A buffer can bring back those highs.

Simple test:

Connect your guitar straight into your amp with a short cable. Then connect your normal setup, all pedals in standby mode. No difference at all? Great, no buffer needed! Too much tonesuck for your taste? Try out a buffer…

This buffer is a very quiet opamp based unity gain buffer. It has a high impedance input and a very low impedance output to drive a long signal chain.

No on/off switch, just experiment where in your chain it fits best and leave it alone. Some people prefer to put it at the front of the chain, some people like it more after the drive pedals, … No rules here! (Sidenote: Most Fuzz faces don’t like buffers in front…)

Warranty:

A warranty of 2 years from the date of purchase applies to all Sonic Fields products. This warranty covers manufacturing defects during normal use.

All our stompboxes and other products are handmade with great care, but color deviations, slightly changed designs or minor flaws in the finish or layout are possible. These differences are not covered by warranty, but off course we try to limit them as much as possible.

If there’s any problem with one of our products during the warranty period, please contact us as soon as possible, before returning the product. We’ll first discuss the problem by phone or email. Sonic Fields reserves the right to decide whether the product should be repaired or replaced.

If a problem occurs after the warranty period has expired, you can off course still contact us to discuss the repair possibilities and the related costs.
