I have a set of Vintage Hofner Nova Sonic (staple) Pickups from between 1963 -67. These were the 1st Humbucking type of pickups that Hofner made.
I have seen these in the Verithin and Galaxie Models. These are what you need to restore your vintage Hofner!!!
In answer to many questions I am adding this info.and pics.
The length of the base is 2 11/16" width is 1 7/16". The mounting screws sit at 3 5/16". The pickup cover is 1 3/16" W X 2 9/16" L. It is wider and shorter then a mini. The screws line up with a standard HB and is the same height as a standard HB. so it will fit in a standard ring but will not fill the hole like a standard.
These were designed bu Hofner so independently of all other pickup shapes.
