Martin D-45 12 String 1995 Natural

This is the Rolls Royce of 12 string guitars, What an absolute beauty! this extremely rare Martin D45 - 12 string was a Custom order.

It doesn’t get much rarer or more beautiful in one package.

This 12-string, 12-fret Martin D45 was based on the very rare and collectible Martin D12-45s from the early 1970s. According to Mike Longworth's book, Martin Guitars: A History, only 83 D12-45 guitars were ever made between 1969 and 1987.

They are no longer in production, and you won’t find one for sale anywhere in the world ! This Iconic 12-string Dreadnought sounds as powerful and magical as you'd expect from Martin's 'King of flattops', the Indian rosewood back and sides provide dark and deep articulation of every note you play, while grade 8 (Martins mastergrade) Sitka Spruce top guarantees pleasant clarity.

The width of the nut and the distance between the strings at the bridge are just about right, not too narrow and not too wide, and it features a non-slotted headstock.

The 45 style inlays around the top, the fingerboard extensions, sides and back, and the abalone hexagonal inlays and purfling are truly iconic for this unique guitar and the the selected custom shop Indian rosewood is of the exceptional beautty you hope it to be.

And if it wasn’t a rare model already just to make it even cooler, it’s a rare slope shoulder model which I think is why it sounds so pretty.

The guitar comes with the Martin custom shop de Luxe hardcase.

The sound is amazing, sounds like a grand piano with sustain that rings forever whilst being very clear tonally.

The only slight imperfection in its 27 years would be a tiny repaired crack done by martin by the sound hole but you literally would have to squint to see it. It’s pictured on second to last image.

Its in pretty much almost pristine condition with The First owner being the Vice President at Martin and was in his collection until 2020 so has great history.
