The leaves of the V12 series differ from the traditional reeds with their thicker shank, a modified cut, and a stronger reed back. This increases the range of vibration of the blade, the result of which is a sonorous, rich and full sound. The thicker tip allows a percussive response and also extends the life of the reed.
