Cosmetically in near-mint condition, and functions 98% as it should.
The one flaw is a tiny section of the strumplate that is silent (2-3 notes). It was sold to me this way — see the video above that I made 4 years ago to explain to the seller I got it from what was wrong (he offered me a partial refund, and in the end I decided to keep it).
All rhythms, voicing, chord/bass, record functions, headphone jack, speaker, etc. work fine.
Comes with:
- Omnichord
- Original hard shell case
- Power supply
- Manual
- Microfiber cleaning cloth (still sealed!)
If you want a retro groovebox or to do Gorillaz covers, then you're golden! Or if you want to strum accent arpeggios for recordings like Beck, Lou Barlow, Robbie Robertson or Sharon Van Etten, you're also golden (no one will notice the missing notes)! This is in fact what I have done for years. But I've since acquired a digital Q-Chord as well, so giving this one a new home.
I've opened it up to take a look inside: there are no obvious shorts, breaks, or cold solder joins, which makes me think there is a resistor or capacitor that needs replacing. With the money you'll save on this discounted listing, maybe you can get it repaired and have a fantastic specimen! 😉
