SABIAN 14" HHX Thin Crash

The 14" HHX Thin Crash delivers responsive control and articulate definition in a cymbal engineered for precision players. Its thin profile and lighter-than-typical weight make it exceptionally easy to maneuver during extended sessions, rewarding both delicate accents and confident strikes with clean, predictable response. This crash cuts through quickly without excessive wash, ideal for drummers working across jazz, funk, rock, and contemporary styles where tonal clarity matters.

Tone & Construction

B20 bronze construction combined with a sophisticated two-stage hammering process—sparse initial hammering followed by denser HHX hammering after lathing—produces a distinctly dark, warm tone with fast articulation and controlled sustain. The smaller raw bell design contributes to the cymbal's quick attack and helps keep definition sharp without resonance buildup.

Playability & Feel

The thin profile paired with reduced weight creates exceptional maneuverability and control, particularly valuable during precision timing demands or extended playing sessions. The responsive character suits genre-agnostic applications, translating articulate dynamics cleanly across tight jazz and funk contexts as readily as contemporary rock and pop.
