About this listing
Here for sale we have a Taylor 310 Dreadnought acoustic guitar in Natural finish. Made in the USA in 1998 this guitar features a bolt-on construction consisting of a Mahogany body with Spruce top, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include Grover tuning machines and Ebony bridge. An aftermarket undersaddle piezo pickup has been installed. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile that might be described as a soft 'V' shape that encourages ergonomic thumb positioning and offers a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The Ebony fingerboard is supremely comfortable under the fingers and adds a real sense of luxury to the instrument. The 14" fingerboard radius is traditional for Taylor and provides a fine balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for fingerpicking and lead lines. The dreadnought body is as comfortable in the arms as ever, and with two strap buttons comfort is ensured in both standing and seated positions. The voice of the Taylor 310 is finely balanced, with the Mahogany back and sides providing a deep, rich low end and strong mids. The Spruce top adds a warmth and brightness to the sound that beautifully colours every note played on the instrument. The all-solid construction ensures a lively and resonant sound, with a wide and sensitive dynamic range that retains clarity even at higher volumes. The dreadnought body shape is renowned for good projection, and the sound of the Taylor 310 is certainly powerful.Brand- TaylorModel- 310 Finish- NaturalYear- 1998Made In- USABody- MahoganyNeck- MahoganyFingerboard- EbonyFingerboard Radius- 14"Frets- 20Scale Legnth- 25.5"Nut Width- 1.7"Pickups- Under saddle piezo pickupLuthier ReportOur ID: 1011026246641Weight: 5.05lbs Serial: 981218002Aesthetic Condition:Headstock: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching and indentation visible under close inspection. This occasionally pierces the finish revealing the wood beneath. The rear of the neck has buffed to a high gloss through regular use. The fingerboard demonstrates moderate playwear in the early register, not discernible beneath the string.Body: Overall good condition, the front face demonstrates considerable pickwear beside the soundhole and scratchplate, revealing the wood beneath. All aspects of the body demonstrate consistent light to moderate scratching and indentation. Both the bass and treble side waist demonstrate hairline crack repairs, performed to a professional standard and very difficult to discern against the natural grain. This poses no structural concern. High contact areas have buffed to a gloss through regular use.Condition of Frets:The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, with indentation beneath the treble strings in the early register and some signs of previous level and re-crown performed throughout the register to an acceptable standard.
