1982-1984 Squier MIJ Contemporary Stratocaster HH very rare neck markings that I've never seen before. This guitar say "Custom Made" on the bell of the neck not "Contemporary Series" which is on all the other ones I've seen. And I've owned 3 others. Not to mention I've been collecting Japanese guitars for over 30 years as you can see from my other listing and guitars sold. The guitar is very well built. As nice as any Order Made guitar I've ever seen or owned. The guitar shows beautifully in Torino Red w/ Rare All-Painted Neck. Does not come with a case or gigbag.Condition: ExcellentYear: 1982-1984Made In: Japan (Fujigen Factory)Configuration: Dual Humbuckers (HH)DescriptionUp for sale is an absolute powerhouse of early Japan Vintage (JV/SQ-era) history: a 1982-1984 Squier Contemporary Stratocaster in a stunning Torino Red finish. This is a rare, premium variant featuring a stunning all-painted neck configuration—the metallic red finish completely covers the body, the back of the neck, and the matching headstock. [1]If you know about early 1980s Made in Japan (MIJ) builds, you know these guitars are legendary. This particular instrument features an incredibly rare factory "Custom Made" stamp on the heel of the neck—a highly sought-after identifier from this specific golden era of Fujigen production. [1]This guitar is incredibly well-made, feels rock-solid, and has that signature heavy, resonance-packed body that early MIJ instruments are famous for. It is easily one of the best-constructed Japanese guitars from the dawn of Fender Japan, easily rivaling or surpassing US standards of the same era. Equipped with its original dual humbucker configuration, it plays smooth, fast, and delivers thick, aggressive classic rock tones.Condition NotesBody & Neck Back: Excellent cosmetic shape. There are no major dings, chips, or scratches through the paint on the main body or the beautifully finished back of the neck.Pickguard: Shows some light play wear and typical swirling under direct light from pick use.Hardware & Electronics: The plain chrome neck plate is beautifully intact. The neck is straight, frets have plenty of life left, and all electronics function perfectly.Overall: A remarkably clean, unique example of an early '80s vintage machine.FeaturesFinish: Full Torino Red wrap (Matching body, neck back, and headstock)Neck: Maple with a dark Rosewood fingerboardPickups: Dual high-output factory humbuckersControls: 1 Volume, 1 Tone, 3-way selector switchOrigin: Japan (Stamped "Custom Made" on the neck heel) [1, 2]Guitar ships securely packed.
