About this listing
I'm pleased to present this 1957 Gibson ES-225 TD.t's a hollowbody without a center block, the first Thinline model from the brand, just before the arrival of the ES-330. Indeed, "TD" stands for Thinline, meaning it has two pickups. It's the same width as the 330, but features a Florentine cutaway. The two original, period-correct P90 pickups are fabulous and sound powerful, nuanced, and balanced. The neck is round without being thick, it sits very comfortably in the hand, and the original frets are still in beautiful condition. Note the Brazilian rosewood fretboard… This guitar has been played, which is always a good sign. It shows signs of wear, marks, and crazing on the sunburst finish, but this also adds to its charm and natural patina. Please take a close look at the photos. The tuners were apparently replaced a long time ago with very effective vintage Grover tuners. The original tuners will be included. It's stable and in excellent condition, structurally impeccable, and has been fully set up and checked in our workshop. It plays with great responsiveness, the action is set very low, and it's ultra-comfortable. It's naturally very comfortable for jazz, but don't be mistaken, this guitar is surprisingly versatile and can easily handle rock and soul tones, and it loves overdrive! We are available for further information or to arrange a test; please feel free to contact us at the workshop.____________________international buyers are welcome, shipping with insurance ok but if you live out of European Union you may have some taxes or duties in your country, please check that before buying. seller not responsable .
