About this listing
From the official appraisal:Upon physical examination conducted on June 22, 2026, the instrument examined was determinedto be an authentic 1959 Fender Stratocaster incorporating numerous original components includingthe neck, original neck finish, original spaghetti Fender logo, Brazilian slab rosewood fingerboard, original nut, original body foundation and surviving vintage pickup components. The neck retains itsoriginal frets and exhibits no evidence of refinishing under black-light examination. Overall neckcondition is exceptional and represents one of the strongest original features of the instrument. Thebody has been sanded and subsequently refinished with a clear finish. Significant wear hasoccurred since the refinishing work was completed. Examination of the pickup cavities reveals thecharacteristic salmon/red undercoat over alder that is consistent with Fender finishing practicesprior to the adoption of Fullerplast. Pickup cavity depth, contouring and routing characteristics areconsistent with a 1959-era Stratocaster body. The bridge assembly has been replaced. Theelectronics have been modified from original specification. The original wiring harness remainsconnected to the bridge pickup. The middle pickup appears original and has been connected to anadded phase-selector circuit. The neck pickup is a later grey-bottom Fender Stratocaster pickupdating from the late 1960s. Pickup output readings are generally consistent across the set. Theoriginal pickguard has been replaced with a black 3-ply 11-hole Stratocaster pickguard. The tunershave been replaced with stylistically correct vintage reissue units.*Comes with a 1970's era Fender hard shell case (not original)*
