About this listing
The ESP Kamikaze-4 is a striking fusion of vintage-inspired attitude and modern precision, built for players who demand both visual impact and uncompromising performance. Its bolt-on construction paired with a 25.5" scale length delivers a familiar snap and articulation, while the all-maple body, neck, and fingerboard create a bright, punchy tonal foundation with exceptional clarity. The smooth maple fingerboard, shaped with a 305mm radius and outfitted with 22 extra-jumbo frets, offers a fast, comfortable playing surface that invites aggressive riffing and effortless lead work. The GL Original U neck contour fills the hand just enough to feel substantial without slowing you down, making it ideal for players who thrive on speed and control.
Visually, the Kamikaze-4 commands attention with its bold Kami-4 graphic finish, a nod to its iconic lineage. Beyond aesthetics, every detail is engineered for stability and reliability. A 43mm locking nut (with a 45mm neck width) works in tandem with a Floyd Rose Original bridge to ensure rock-solid tuning stability, even under the most extreme whammy bar abuse. Gotoh tuners and black hardware complement the guitar’s sleek, aggressive look, while ESP strap locks provide added security for high-energy performances.
Tonally, the Kamikaze-4 is built to cover a wide sonic range with a deceptively simple control layout. It features a Seymour Duncan ‘78 bridge pickup mounted directly to the body for maximum resonance and bite, delivering searing leads and tight, articulate rhythms. The neck position houses an ESP SS-120 single-coil, adding warmth and clarity for cleaner passages or bluesy textures. A single volume control with push/pull functionality allows you to switch between pickups—push to select the bridge humbucker and pull to engage the neck single-coil—keeping the interface clean while offering versatile tonal options. The passive electronics preserve the guitar’s natural voice, ensuring dynamic responsiveness to your playing.
Outfitted with Elixir Nanoweb Super Light strings (.009–.042), the Kamikaze-4 feels immediately playable right out of the case, with a slick, fast response that complements its overall design. It also includes an ESP MH Guitar Form Fit Case, providing secure protection for transport and storage. Altogether, the ESP Kamikaze-4 is more than just a visually iconic instrument—it’s a purpose-built machine designed for expressive, high-performance playing across a wide range of styles.
