Here we have an extremely rare bird, a special Ibanez Jem DBK prototype! This is not your average standard line model, but a super well crafted instrument.

Guitar is perfect and rare for the professional musician or the avid collector.

The JEM7D is a JEM series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1999. It is a signature model of American guitarist Steve Vai. It replaced the JEM7 BSB as a new affordable but still Japanese made JEM. It was made by FujiGen.

Visually, the JEM7D borrows both from the JEM10th as well as from the JEM90HAM. It has the black finish and mirror pickguard.

The JEM7DBK combines it with the structured body finish of the JEM90HAM and the screw head dot inlays of the JEM7 BSB.

The JEM7DBK is the first JEM with the DiMarzio Breed pickups. It also features a thinner neck compared to other JEM guitars. It initially had the Lo-Pro Edge tremolo which was replaced by the Edge Pro in 2003.

This guitar was made by the Ibanez master builder Nick Sugimoto, as a prototype with the same body texture applied on the headstock. 

Guitar has the same feel of the DNA, a very light and resonant instrument, made with the most advanced Ibanez technology!
