The Cooper Musical Components (CMC) "Clapton" Knob Reproduction

Every true M amplifier aficionado is familiar with these famous guitar amplifier knobs. They are nicknamed after a certain British guitar legend auctioned a 1965 Marshall JTM45 with these knobs on it. My (Cooper) journey with reproducing these special knobs began long ago when I started to realize just how miraculous and beautiful the old M JTM45 guitar amplifiers looked and sounded. I and many others before me have scoured everywhere for these knobs and true originals are near impossible to find without sacrificing large sums of money. These knobs are arguably the most sought after guitar amplifier knobs known to mankind. 

The Aesthetics

These reproduction knobs are injection molded for CMC specifically from detailed scans obtained from a set of real 1960's PEKALIT 17680 knobs. They are what we at CMC believe to be the most faithful reproduction to date. Accurate markings and all the details true M enthusiasts have known to come and adore from these knobs are replicated here. The several pieces that go into making these knobs special in addition to the shape and look mean that you no longer have to look any further or wonder if you will ever find a set.

While these knobs were only meant to be used on vintage M amplifiers from 1964-1965, Dynacord amplifiers, and Steelphon amplifiers, these special knobs spice up anything they touch with beautiful simplicity and legibility. Cooper "Clapton" knobs are restoration grade knobs. However, these knobs are great for "Do It Yourself" (D.I.Y.) builds, or for any amplifier needing that extra flavor. Be creative and put them on everyday appliances requiring some sex appeal (Don't Get Weird). Here is a piece of that forbidden fruit.
