What is STAR Reserve Snare Drum? We want drummers to experience the joy of playing drums once again. A new series, "STAR Reserve Snare Drum", will be added to the STAR Drums snare drum lineup, which was created with that idea in mind. This series does not pursue a sound that evokes a specific image or versatility that can be used in various genres. What we aim for is to inspire even drummers who are familiar with various snares to try new sound making and playing styles that break existing concepts. To achieve this, we will pour in all of TAMA's technology, knowledge, and know-how that we have cultivated so far, and in order to pursue "new possibilities for snare drums", we will not only be bound by the framework of the STAR Drums series, but will also adopt new parts and specifications from other series to create a unique sound that only each model can achieve. This is the beginning of our journey to explore new possibilities that may even exceed our own expectations. Solid maple that pursues "unparalleled delicacy". That is the STAR Reserve solid maple snare. A thick, solid piece of maple wood, which is difficult to mold, is carefully molded over a period of about 14 days using a steam bending technique called the Thonet method, which was invented in the early 1800s. This achieves the soft, warm sound that only solid maple can provide. The bearing edge, which determines the response, is sharper than that of the regular STAR Drum, and the snare is a flexible, well-defined type used in concert snares. It provides good response that does not miss even small touches such as closed rolls and ghost notes in pianissimo, as well as sharp, delicate grain. In addition, the hoop is made of brass with an inward bend, which was made specifically for this model, and while maintaining the soft sound of the shell, it adds controlled, moderate overtones, producing a delicate, clear sound even when playing rim shots.
