Vintage Ibanez RG550 in Road Flare finish made in 1987 with Hard Shell Case. This guitar features a solid basswood body, maple neck and maple fingerboard with a color matched headstock. Equipped with its original Ibanez pickups: a V1 humbucker in the neck position, a S1 single coil in the middle position, and a V2 humbucker in the bridge position. Controlled by 1 volume pot, 1 tone pot and a 5-way blade switch. The 25.5" scale length neck has black dot inlays and black side markers with 24 jumbo frets on a 430mm radius with a Wizard profile. The hardware is comprised of black Gotoh sealed die-cast tuning machines with cloche heads, a Top Lok III nut, an Ibanez Edge Tremolo bridge and black top hat knobs with a 3-ply black on white pickguard.
This guitar is in overall good condition. At some point in its life it received a refret with jumbo frets. The body has some tan lines on the back and sides from sun exposure. There are small dings and light surface marks throughout the guitar. It has finish splits in the neck pocket and below the bridge. The corners of the body have some dings. The black plating on the hardware has worn off in various spots. The bridge has some light rust on the screws. (See Pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 9-42 strings. Includes Hard Shell Case.
