Here for sale we have a Gibson The Paul II Electric Guitar in Gloss Black finish. Made in the USA in 1995, this guitar consists of a thinner, bevelled Mahogany body, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Tune-O-Matic bridge, a Stopbar tailpiece, Chrome hardware, and Gibson Deluxe tuners. The pickups installed are a set of Gibson Humbuckers that are wired to independent volume controls, independent tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector. The Mahogany neck is a joy to play, with a profile which is best described as a medium ‘C’ shape. This profile is not as thick as many other Gibson, yet still feels substantial underhand. The gloss finish on the rear of the neck allows you to glide up and down the neck effortlessly, with the traditional 12” fingerboard radius providing the perfect balance between comfortable chording and an ability to perform bending and vibrato techniques. The Rosewood fingerboard provides a luxuriously smooth feeling underhand.The Gibson humbucker in the neck position sounds thick and full, with a rich low end great for rhythm tonalities. The middle position provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst being able to cut through a mix. The humbucker in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a punchy output, providing a great feel and clarity, allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones all at the fingertips. Some scratching is apparent, visible only under close inspection, not felt beneath the string. The rear of the neck demonstrates light to moderate scuffing and scratching, with light indentation apparent throughout the register. This is difficult to discern beneath the thumb.Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate consistent light to moderate scratching and indentations, causing a hazing of the finish under direct lighting at certain angles. The most notable areas are the front and rear lower bouts, where consistent indentation is apparent.Condition of Frets:The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use with flattening of the crowns throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.Current Set Up:Truss Rod: fully functional. truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.Hardware: Fully functional with moderate signs of use.
