About this listing
1976 Fender Stratocaster Hardtail, Natural, Maple Neck, Vintage USA50 years of Fender history. Factory hardtail. Original finish. Original electronics. Original hardware. One exceptional vintage Stratocaster.Offered here is a beautiful 1976 Fender Stratocaster Hardtail, made in the USA during Fender's legendary CBS era. Finished in Natural with a maple neck, black pickguard, and factory string-through-body hardtail bridge, this is an outstanding example of the unmistakable look and character of a 1970s Fender. What makes this guitar especially appealing is its originality. Everything on this Stratocaster is original, with one clearly disclosed exception: the jack plate was replaced with a correct, period-correct 1970s Fender component. No refinishing. No pickup swaps. No replaced electronics. No aftermarket bridge or tuners. Just an authentic vintage American Stratocaster that has been preserved remarkably well for nearly half a century. And the photographs speak for themselves. There's something special about a vintage hardtail Stratocaster.Without the traditional tremolo assembly, the fixed bridge and string-through-body construction provide a direct, immediate response with excellent note definition, attack, and resonance. You still get the unmistakable clarity, snap, and versatility of a classic Fender Stratocaster, but with the simplicity and solid feel of a fixed bridge.Whether you're a collector, recording musician, or dedicated Strat player, the factory hardtail configuration gives this instrument a distinctive appeal. For serious vintage Fender buyers, originality is everything. This 1976 Stratocaster retains:Original Natural finishOriginal maple neck and fingerboardOriginal Fender pickupsOriginal electronics, pots, switches, and wiringOriginal factory hardtail bridgeOriginal tunersOriginal pickguard and remaining hardwareOriginal three-bolt neck constructionThe only exception is the jack plate, which is a genuine, period-correct 1970s Fender replacement. The guitar has not been refinished or modified with modern replacement components. It's increasingly difficult to find vintage instruments that retain this degree of originality while presenting as beautifully as this one.Very Good vintage condition. The Natural finish retains a beautiful glossy appearance, allowing the wood grain to show through. The combination of the black pickguard, aged maple neck, and natural body creates a striking vintage look. There are honest dents, scratches, and cosmetic signs of use consistent with a guitar approaching 50 years old. The instrument is structurally sound and fully functional, with a comfortable C-shaped neck profile. This guitar has the character you'd expect from a genuine 1970s Fender without the extensive modifications often encountered on vintage instruments. Please examine all photographs closely. They are part of the description and show the guitar's actual condition.SPECIFICATIONSManufacturer: FenderModel: Stratocaster HardtailYear: 1976Made In: USAFinish: Natural — OriginalNeck: Original MapleFingerboard: MapleNeck Profile: C ShapeNeck Joint: Three-BoltBridge: Original Factory HardtailPickups: Original Fender Single CoilsElectronics: OriginalHardware: Original, Except Jack PlateWeight: 8 lbs, 3 ozNut Width: 43 mmNeck Thickness at First Fret: 21.5 mmSerial Number: 7673214Condition: Very GoodThe guitar includes the beautiful vintage black hardshell case with red plush interior shown in the photographs.
