Fender Am Performer Jazz, sunburst, made in USA 2023. For those playing along at home, the American Performer series replaced the earlier American Special line, and then was recently superseded by the American Professional Classic instruments. Personally, I'm waiting for the Chinese Performer series, but hey... onwards we march. Upshot is: this was the gateway drug to USA-made Fender in it's day. It's a handy take on the classic Jazz Bass recipe: slim neck, rosewood board, two single coils, alder body. It's a tight and puchy tone with plenty of growl when you dig in.
