[Description]

Vintage 1998 G String Tenor Ukulele, handcrafted in Hawaii, featuring beautifully figured Hawaiian koa and a distinctive slotted headstock.

The original internal G String label clearly confirms the build date as December 24, 1998.

G String was founded by luthier Derek Shimizu in Hawaii in the 1990s. This instrument dates from the early Hawaii-made period of the brand and is an interesting example for players and collectors looking for an older Hawaiian-made G String.

The koa has beautiful natural figuring throughout the instrument, with strong grain and character that changes depending on the light and viewing angle.

This instrument has been carefully kept and remains in very good overall condition for its age.
