This is a 4-string Musicmaster Bass that I converted to a 6-string baritone electric the better part of 30 years ago. There basically weren't baritones back then and I had to have one.
I've used it on tons of recordings. It's a beast.
The dowels on the headstock are so bush league that they are actually sort of cool. There is an extra hole on the headstock because I added a 7th to make the strings straighter. It worked. The guitar is amazing.
The body has a seam that looks open, but its rock solid.
