Sound City L80 4x12 Cabinet – Dallas Arbiter Era (c. 1971–1974)
A fantastic vintage Sound City L80 4x12 cabinet from the Dallas Arbiter era, dating back to approximately 1971–1974.
Loaded with four original Fane 12289 speakers, each rated at 22 watts, giving the cabinet a combined power handling of 88 watts and a total impedance of 16 ohms.
This is, without a doubt, the best-sounding cabinet I have ever owned. It has that unmistakable vintage Fane character and delivers an incredibly rich, powerful and distinctive sound.
As you would expect from a cabinet of this age, it does show some signs of wear and cosmetic imperfections. However, it is in perfect working order, and all imperfections are purely cosmetic.
The only reason I’m considering letting it go is that, unfortunately, it takes up a little more space than I can currently justify.
A fantastic piece of vintage British amplification history, and a cabinet that deserves to be played rather than stored away.
Shipping available at buyer's expense. Due to the size and weight of the cabinet, shipping costs will be calculated based on destination.
