Nice used Ibanez TS-9 Reissue from 2023
Pedal was fully tested and works as it should with no issues.
Key Features & Specifications
- Controls: Three simple knobs for Drive, Tone, and Level.
- Power: Requires a 9V DC center-negative power supply or a single 9V battery (draws 8mA).
- Dimensions & Weight: Measures 4.9" x 3" x 2" and weighs approximately 1.3 lbs.
- Design: Retains the distinct "seasick-green" housing and vintage-style footswitch of the original models.
Sound & Performance
- Tone Profile: Famous for its distinct mid-range "hump" that pushes tube amplifiers into a warm, natural overdrive and adds sustain for blues and rock solos.
- Buffer & Response: According to most users on Facebook Guitar Groups, the reissue's built-in buffer provides a consistent compression that keeps tones fat even at lower drive settings. [1]
- Vintage vs. Reissue: While it uses the same classic housing and general layout, some purists note that modern reissues use different operational amplifier (op-amp) chips (like the Toshiba TA75558) compared to the highly coveted vintage JRC458D chips, which can make the reissue sound slightly sharper or less clear in dense mixes.
