Mike Fortin has a long history of boosting amps. From the modded TS pedals that sold by the bucket load, through the 33, Hedrive and now Fourteen, pushing the front end of amps is something that Mike excels at.

Enter the N2O Micro Boost. A small but deadly two voiced boost that will give you a clean boost, or a more defined boost that fits his reputation, you know that this small box of boost will give you exactly what your rig desires...

The N2O is ridiculously simple, and ridiculously small. With only 1 knob and a small two way switch, you could be forgiven for thinking it's a one trick pony.

Key Features & Architecture

-The Clean Boost: Transparent, high-headroom gain that respects your original tone while adding volume and "more" of everything you love.

-The Dirty Boost: The classic Fortin definition. The voicing tightens the low end and adds specific grit and punch that has defined the modern metal landscape

-Overdrive or Underdrive? When in the flat response mode, the N20 can be used to reduce the hotness of your guitar, and make your amp Underdrive. Not only can you push you tone, you can even set your amp for your lead tone and then use the N20 for your rhythm tones!

Controls

• STOMP:
  Industry standard 3DPT true bypass. Due to the nature of the circuit, the signal is "buffered" when the pedal is turned on.
• SHAPE:
  This switch dictates the pedal's core equalization, drawing from Fortin's renowned modifications to the classic "Green" overdrive circuit.
  

1. Left Position (Fortin Mod): Engages a custom-engineered EQ curve. This setting applies a precise low-frequency cut designed to eliminate "mud" and tighten up heavier tones, ensuring maximum clarity and articulation for high-gain playing.
2. Right Position (Flat Mode): Bypasses the EQ modification entirely. This provides a transparent, unaltered signal path that is ideal for a pristine clean boost.
3. Underdrive Functionality (in flat mode): Beyond boosting, this pedal can also be used as a signal attenuator. By lowering the pedal's output gain (under 12 oclock), you can effectively "underdrive"| the subsequent gain stages in your signal chain (such as your amplifier's pre-amp or other distortion pedals).
   Pro Tip: This technique is highly effective for taming a high-gain lead channel into a tight, responsive rhythm tone without compromising the core character of your rig.

• GAIN:
  Unity is about 12, so anything under that can reduce the level of gain from the following gain stages. Anything above will increase the level hitting what ever comes after.
