It came out of a partscaster I built in 2004 and is being sold on its own. The Blues Special is Fralin’s best-selling Tele pickup. It’s wound a little hotter than stock, so you get more output and midrange while keeping the Tele snap.SpecsTele bridge positionMeasures 7.00K on my meter. Fralin’s spec is about 7.3K, and my meter reads slightly low on both pickups I tested.Copper-plated steel baseplateCloth push-back leads, black and whiteOriginal Fralin tagThe original hand-written Fralin tag is still on the lead and reads “Lindy Fralin Tele Blues Special.” It’s shown in the photos.ConditionIt works fully, and the meter reading confirms the coil is intact. The string wrap has aged from white to tan, and there’s light wear on the flatwork and pole pieces, which you can see in the photos. It was cleaned with a dry brush only, no solvents.IncludedFralin Tele Blues Special pickup3 height screws with tubing spacersPlease look at all the photos. They’re part of the description.
