Every great resonator guitar was built with one purpose in mind: To be heard. Available now at Haggerty's Music, the Gretsch G9241 Alligator Biscuit Round-Neck carries on that tradition with the unmistakable voice and vintage-inspired character that made resonator guitars essential long before electric amplification became common. Whether you're playing Delta blues, bluegrass, Americana, country, or roots rock, this instrument delivers the punch, projection, and unmistakable metallic growl that have captivated musicians for generations.
Built entirely from laminated mahogany and finished in an eye-catching 2-Color Sunburst, the G9241 produces a warm, woody foundation that's brought vividly to life by Gretsch's hand-spun Ampli-Sonic aluminum resonator cone. The biscuit bridge design emphasizes the dry attack, focused mids, and swampy resonance that players expect from a classic resonator, while the comfortable medium "V" mahogany neck and padauk fingerboard provide a familiar feel for both traditional fingerstyle playing and expressive slide work. A factory-installed Fishman Nashville Series Resophonic pickup faithfully captures the guitar's unique acoustic voice, making it equally at home on stage or in the studio.
Traditional appointments including Grover Sta-Tite tuners, a weathered trapeze tailpiece, nickel hardware, and a vintage semi-gloss finish complete the classic aesthetic while offering dependable performance. Whether you're looking to expand your tonal palette with authentic resonator sounds or searching for an inspiring instrument that cuts effortlessly through an acoustic ensemble, the Gretsch G9241 Alligator Biscuit is ready to deliver remarkable volume, character, and timeless roots-inspired tone.
