Inspired by the holy grail of vintage acoustic instruments, Gibson’s luthiers in Montana have meticulously recreated a J-45 that matches the most popular and celebrated version in both construction and components.The new 1942 Banner J-45 features a thermally aged red Adirondack spruce top, hand-sprayed with a historic sunburst, hot hide-glued top bracing for enhanced tonal response, and a bone nut and saddle. It is finished with Light Aging by the skilled artisans of the Murphy Lab.
