Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster, Black, 2018Telecaster Designed by Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Chris FlemingIt combines vintage Telecaster character with practical modern features.It features an ash body, a Soft “V”-shaped maple neck, a 9.5"-radius maple fingerboard, and 21 medium-jumbo frets.The pickup configuration consists of a Custom Shop “Twisted” Tele pickup in the Neck position and a Custom Shop Broadcaster pickup in the Bridge position.Instead of the standard 3-way switch, the guitar is equipped with a 4-way pickup selector offering the following combinations:1. Bridge2. Neck + Bridge (parallel)3. Neck4. Neck + Bridge (series)The Push-Push switch adds an out-of-phase option to positions 2 and 4.The original S-1 switch, built into the volume pot, has been replaced with a standard volume pot and a tone pot equipped with a Push-Push switch.Although the switch configuration has been changed, the 4-way selector and the switch still provide the original series/parallel and out-of-phase functions.This modification eliminates the complex S-1 switch and offers a more practical setup for future maintenance and durability.The bridge saddles have been upgraded to GOTOH IN-TUNE saddles.They retain the traditional look and resonance of a 3-saddle bridge while making individual string intonation adjustment easier.The guitar is finished in black.There are small finish chips, dings, and scuff marks around the body, but the overall appearance is relatively clean for a 2018 instrument.The neck is straight.The frets have been leveled, and there are currently no significantly worn or deeply grooved areas.Approximately 0.8 mm remains at the lowest point measured in the lower positions.Refret may eventually be necessary depending on your playing style and preferences, but normally, it is not immediately required, and the guitar plays well in its current condition.Made in Mexico, this Telecaster combines Custom Shop pickups with a distinctive 4-way and out-of-phase switching system for a broader tonal range than a standard Telecaster.This model is discontinued and offers an attractive combination of features, playability, and value.Specs– Body: Ash– Neck: Maple– Fingerboard: Maple– Scale: Long scale– Frets: 21– Weight: 4 kg– Accessories: Generic gig bag– Year: 2018Condition– Parts replaced: Pots, internal wiring, bridge saddles– Damages: Small finish chips are visible along the body edges, along with various dings and scuff marks.
