For sale is my 2008 Gibson SG Standard in Ebony, Made in USA.
This is a really cool player’s SG with plenty of character. The guitar is completely original and unmodified, including the original Gibson hard case and all original accessories.
Sonically, this SG has plenty of output, punch and attitude. The original Gibson 490R and 498T humbuckers deliver a powerful, raw and aggressive rock tone, with plenty of bite when you dig in. It can easily produce that classic dirty, gritty and lively rock sound that makes an SG so much fun to play.
Compared with many current standard SGs, this older example has a particularly distinctive and characterful voice. It has a direct, lively and slightly raw quality that is very appealing for rock, blues-rock and classic rock.
The guitar has been played and therefore is not a mint collector’s piece, but it is in very good, well-kept used condition. Technically it is fully functional and plays very well.

Cosmetic condition
The guitar shows normal playing and age-related wear, including some small dings/marks and one visible scratch on the top. Please see the photos for the exact condition.
There are no breaks, cracks, paint chips or other major damage.
Overall, it is in very nice and well-kept condition for a guitar from 2008.
