Impeccable 1998 Taylor 955 jumbo 12-string guitar.One owner, bought new in 1999 at upscale music store Lauzon Music in Ottawa, Canada. The late 90's were the sweetest years for the 855, and the wood has seasoned and stabilized, making this a particularly well-rounded instrument.Upgrades include: - Professional installation (by wizard luthier Ian Weston) of a Bob Colosi custom bone saddle- Professional installation (also by Ian Weston) of Fishman Rare Earth active magnetic soundhole pickup (note that this is non-destructive, and can be removed without leaving any marks, holes, or any other effect to the original guitar).The 855 features a solid Sitka spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides, tropical mahogany neck, an abalone soundhole rosette, ebony fingerboard, gold-plated tuners, and of course the upgraded bone saddle. Tortoiseshell pick guard, white binding, Taylor spruce x-bracing. The jumbo body shape is unique to Taylor.This guitar is in mint condition except for one very small ding on the lower bout (see picture) which was present at purchase time. The guitar has been mostly unplayed, sitting safely in its case in my temperature- and humidity-controlled home studio (I am an electric player, and acquired this guitar because I fell in love with it at a time when I had disposable income, not realizing at the time that I wouldn't use it). It's time to let this beauty sing in the hands of someone who will actually use it.The neck is straight as an arrow, and the action is the lowest I've ever seen on an acoustic guitar (let alone a twelve-string).
