About this listing
Here’s a great tweed amp that’s a grail for the people who know at a great price….This is the last version of the tweed Tremolux and the most desirable of those tweed Tremoluxes. This is the 5G9 circuit which was produced for maybe about a year until Leo debuted the brownface piggyback Tremolux.I’ve owned many tweed amps and have to say that these are probably the most versatile of the tweed era Fender amps. This can do clean as well as gritty all the while being great in the studio as well as with a live band. It’s got great swampy tremolo too which is inly featured on the Tremolux and Vibrolux in the tweed era. This came from the family of the original owner. It’s been completely gone through to bring it up to playing condition. It’ll include all the old caps and such that had been swapped out for something more reliable. This still retains its original transformers which is most important. Currently sports a 1961 Jensen P12N that’s been reconed and well broke in. This speaker sounds fantastic in this amp. Obviously this still has the original tweed which is nice and vibe’d out. I love a nice played in looking tweed amp and this one sure turns heads.Doesn’t include a footswitch but any 1/4 jack will do.I’m listing this at a great price that’s cheaper than any other 5G9 on here. It’s my final price. I’m pricing it to move and not keep which is getting harder for me to do as it sounds amazing.
