Overview
Designed primarily as a broadcast microphone, though more than suitable for stages and recording studios, the Shure SM5B is a rare transformerless, end-addressed "boom-mount" dynamic microphone with the microphone's element internally shockmounted by silicon rubber.
Like it's successor, the SM7B, it features a cardioid polar pattern with an off-axis response that retains a very even frequency response.
