About this listing
Fired up Since '63When Gibson hired famed automotive designer Ray Dietrich to create a radical new solid body guitar, rock 'n roll history ensued. With its offset shape, neck-through construction, and scorching mini-humbuckers™, the '63 Firebird™ V became an instant classic. The Gibson Custom Shop is proud to present this exacting replica of a vintage original, which uses authentic contours, dimensions and construction methods for an incredible ownership and playing experience. It features Ultra Light Aging by the skilled artisans of the Murphy Lab. The Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged finish treatment, paired with lightly aged hardware, simulates decades of light play wear, giving it the unique character, vibe, and feel of an original example from the Gibson Golden Era.BodyBody Style: FirebirdBody Shape: DesignerBody Material: Layered MahoganyBody Finish: Murphy Lab Aged Nitrocellulose LacquerWeight Relief: NoneNeckProfile: Medium CScale Length: 628.65 mm / 24.75 inFingerboard Material: Indian RosewoodFingerboard Radius: 304.8 mm / 12 inNeck Material: 9-ply Mahogany/Walnut Neck-ThroughFret Count: 22Frets: Authentic Medium-JumboNut Material: NylonNut Width: 42.85 mm / 1.687 inEnd Of Board Width: 56.89 mm / 2.239 inInlays: Aged Cellulose Nitrate TrapezoidJoint: Neck-Through ConstructionHardwareFinish: Nickel; Murphy Lab Light AgedBridge: ABR-1Saddle Material: Nickel-plated BrassTailpiece: Maestro VibrolaTuning Machines: Deluxe Banjo TunersPickguard: 3-Ply White/Black/White Firebird Hot-stampedTruss Rod: 2-way AdjustableTruss Rod Cover: Black 1-Ply Gibson Hot-stampedControl Knobs: Gold Top Hats with Silver InsertsSwitch Tip: CreamControl Covers: BlackStrap Buttons: AluminumPickup Covers: NickelElectronicsNeck Pickup: Firebird Alnico 5Bridge Pickup: Firebird Alnico 5Controls: 2 Volume, 2 Tone, 500K CTS Potentiometers, Hand-Wired HarnessPickup Selector: 3-Way SwitchcraftOutput Jack: 1/4" SwitchcraftMiscellaneousStrings Gauge: .010, .013, .017, .026, .036, .046Case: Custom Shop HardshellAccessories: Certificate of Authenticity
