A genuine one-owner workhorse! My main stage guitar for over ten years and 300+ shows, these don't come up for sale very often and are sought after (definitely worthwhile going down the Google rabbit hole on this model!).This is the HotRod AVRI ‘52 Tele with a high-output single coil paired at the bridge with a Seymour Duncan Mini Humbucker at the neck, wired through 375k pots to balance the two pickups. That combo covers everything from bright twang to Keef style blues, and a great rhythm - even funk - capability when blended. The guitar is incredibly playable, the U neck profile encourages your hand to wrap around and sit on the fretboard, and the satin finish makes moving around a doddle. The unfretted string height on the low E side is: 1st fret - 0.6mm 12th fret - 2.0mm 21st fret - 1.8mm A great balance of well defined note signal whilst avoiding significant fret buzz.Relief is slightly above minimum and there is plenty of movement in the truss rod if you need to adjust it, but the guitar is very comfortable to play as it is right now.The body was replaced by Fender after the leather strap originally provided with the guitar broke and caused damage on first use. Full email correspondence documenting this is included, so you have a complete paperwork trail. As a result the body serial # doesn’t match the bridge stamp, as seen in the picturesThe scratch plate, top hat, and input jack have been replaced; everything else is original. The bridge pickup was re-potted about 3 years ago after becoming microphonic.As you’d expect from a well-loved gigging guitar, there are scratches and chips in the nitro lacquer and some bruising to the body, but nothing lower than finish level, no wood missing. I've listed it as good, but it's probably borderline very good/good.
