Stereo or dual mono with common settingsBased on THAT chipsLow noise and distortionDC-coupled sidechainStereo link for level detectorsBypass switchOutput level VU meterThe Stereo Compressor from Erica Synths is an analog VCA-based stereo compressor that delivers a particularly low-noise and low-distortion sound due to the first-class THAT chips. The module can be operated dual-mono for processing two audio signals with the same settings or in stereo. At Stereo the channels for the level detectors can be linked. A chain of LEDs indicates the level of modulation. The compressor does what almost every compressor does: drums get more punch and thrust, basslines are more present, difficult levels become more controllable. However, the circuit is optimized for drum sounds. Sidechain inputs and outputs for the left and right side are also available. These can be used, for example, to rhythmically bring a sound collage or a Bassline to life with a Four-To-The-Floor Kick .
