Sound: The Darkglass Vintage Ultra Sound is a versatile bass preamp and overdrive character best described as warm, tube like, and mid forward with organic, tape like dynamic compression. Unlike the standard, highly aggressive modern metal clang found in Darkglass's Microtubes B7K, the Vintage Ultra mimics the legendary rock and roll amplifiers, such as the Ampeg SVT, shifting smoothly from a subtle, transparent warmth to a dense, retro crunch.
